Basketball General Program Operations

Season Structure

The Next Level Basketball season runs from late August through early November with up to 10 program dates. Schedules vary by location based on facility and staff availability.

Grade-Based Organization

Players compete within their designated grade level. We do not allow participants to "play down" by any grade level.

Practice & Game Schedule

All practices and games are on the SAME DAY. This consolidates commitment to a single 2-hour weekly window, with practice occurring immediately before the game.

Game Format

Games feature 5-versus-5 play in non-contact settings, though younger divisions may use 3-versus-3 modified half-court formats. Court sizes vary by venue.

Coaching Structure

Teams have assigned high school or college student-athletes serving as Head Coaches/Mentors. Parent volunteers are to ASSIST our student-athletes and ENABLE them in their role as Head Coach.

Uniforms & Equipment

Uniforms ship via USPS to home addresses provided. Participants must maintain current address information, as replacement uniforms incur personal costs. All basketball equipment will be provided.

Next Level is always a "one trophy" league focused on character development and competitive balance rather than participation recognition.
