General Flag Football Operations

Flag Football General Program Operations

Season Schedule

The program operates across three periods: Winter (mid-January through mid-March), Spring (mid/late March through late May), and Summer (June/July), with various program dates over the program schedule.

Grade-Based System

Next Level organizes participants by grade level. Players play in their designated grade level. We do not allow participants to "play down" by any grade level.

Practice & Game Format

All practices and games are on the SAME DAY. This requires a 2-hour window of availability each week. Games feature 5 versus 5 in a non-contact environment on 40-yard fields, with up to 4 games operating simultaneously on the same regulation football field.

Coaching Structure

Each team receives a high school or college student-athlete as Head Coach. Parent volunteers assist rather than lead, with roles governed within the Next Level Rule Book.

Equipment & Uniforms

The program provides all flag football equipment and uniforms included in registration fees, with home delivery of your uniform via USPS. Players should wear cleats or athletic shoes.

Program Philosophy

No prior flag football experience is required. Next Level is always a "one trophy" league, believing competition balanced with player/character development better serves youth athletes.
